How it works
A frameless, European-style box of 3/4" plywood, joined with glue and pocket screws.
- Pick a cabinet. Base, wall or tall, or start from a preset: base cabinet, drawer over doors, sink base, vanity, wall cabinet or pantry.
- Enter the size. Width, height and depth in inches or millimeters. Fractions like 34 1/2 are fine.
- Choose the front. A door (or a pair over 24" wide) on concealed hinges, a drawer over a door, or 1 to 8 drawers: 3/4" plywood boxes with a 1/4" bottom set in a table-saw dado, on full-extension ball-bearing slides.
- Build your plans. The front view, cut list and build steps are free. Unlock Pro for sheet layouts with shop mode, part drawings, 3D build pictures, the shopping list with cost estimate, PDFs, and My Project to plan a whole room.

Safety guidelines
Please read these before you cut or install anything.
Check before you cut
- Plans are calculated only from the sizes you enter. Measure your space, your plywood and your hardware, and check the numbers before cutting.
- Plywood thickness varies. Measure it, and make a test cut or dry-fit before cutting expensive sheets.
- Check hinge and drawer slide sizes and instructions against the hardware you actually buy.
Use power tools safely
- Read and follow the manual for every tool you use, including all guards, riving knives and push sticks.
- Wear eye and hearing protection, and use dust collection or a dust mask.
- Never cut small parts freehand. Support large sheets, and get help handling full sheets.
- If a cut or operation feels unsafe, or you haven't been trained on it, don't do it. Find another method or ask someone experienced.
Hang wall cabinets securely
- Fasten wall cabinets into wall studs with cabinet screws. Never hang a cabinet from drywall alone or from drywall anchors.
- CabbyCut does not calculate how much weight a cabinet, shelf or wall can hold. Don't overload shelves, and keep heavy items in base cabinets.
- Masonry, plaster, metal studs and uneven walls need different fasteners and methods. Get professional help if you're not sure.
- Always have a helper when lifting and hanging a cabinet.
Prevent tip-overs
- Fasten tall cabinets and drawer cabinets to the wall before loading them.
- Children can climb open drawers and doors. Anchor every floor cabinet and consider anti-tip hardware.
Watch for wires and pipes
- Check for electrical wiring, plumbing and gas lines before drilling or screwing into a wall.
- Leave plumbing, electrical and gas work to licensed professionals, and follow your local building codes.
Finishes and dust
- Follow the finish maker's instructions and work with good ventilation.
- Rags soaked with oil-based finishes can catch fire on their own. Lay them flat to dry outdoors or store them in a sealed metal container of water.
Terms of use
CabbyCut (the "App") is made by Dylan McCaffrey ("the developer"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, Apple's agreement controls to the extent required by Apple.
Planning tool only
The App generates cut lists, drawings, instructions, shopping lists and cost estimates from the dimensions you enter. They are general woodworking information for planning purposes. They are not professional engineering, carpentry, construction or installation advice, and they are not a substitute for your own judgment or for a qualified professional.
Your responsibility
- Checking every dimension, quantity, hardware size and instruction before cutting, buying or building. Cost estimates are only as accurate as the prices you enter.
- The safe use of tools and materials, following each manufacturer's instructions, and the safety of anyone helping you or using the finished cabinet.
- Installing cabinets securely to suit your walls, floors and intended loads, and following local building codes.
- Deciding when a task needs a licensed or qualified professional.
CabbyCut Pro purchases
- CabbyCut Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and never renews or charges again.
- It is sold and charged by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. The developer never receives your payment details.
- Pro is tied to your Apple Account. Use Restore Purchases (in the crown menu on the app's first screen, or on the Pro screen) to unlock it on another device or after reinstalling.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices may change, but a change never affects a purchase you've already made.
No warranty
The App and all plans it produces are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Plans may contain errors or omissions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of CabbyCut will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, wasted or damaged materials, lost time, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or its plans. Where liability cannot be excluded, the developer's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App and CabbyCut Pro. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date. Questions? Email 33.savings-voyager@icloud.com.
Privacy policy
CabbyCut collects no data. The app has no account or sign-up, and contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking code. It only goes online to buy or check CabbyCut Pro through the App Store and, if you have Pro, to sync your project through your own iCloud.
What stays on your device
Every calculation happens on your iPhone or iPad. The dimensions you enter and the plans CabbyCut produces are never sent to the developer. On your device the app keeps your current project, the material prices you set, whether you use inches or millimeters, a note that you've read the safety screen, a count of plans opened (used only to decide when to show Apple's rating prompt), and temporary PDF files while you print or share them.
iCloud sync (CabbyCut Pro)
With Pro, your My Project cabinets and your material prices sync between your devices through Apple's iCloud, in the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account. Only you can see that data. The developer cannot read it, and it is never shared with anyone. Apple stores it under Apple's privacy policy. To turn sync off, go to Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, and switch off CabbyCut; to delete the synced data, use Manage Account Storage in the same place. Because the developer never receives this data, CabbyCut's App Store privacy label stays "Data Not Collected".
Sharing and printing
When you print or share a plan, iOS's standard print and share sheets send it only where you choose, such as a printer, Files, Messages or email. That's handled by Apple and the app you pick, not by CabbyCut.
Purchases
CabbyCut Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment under its own terms and privacy policy, and refunds are requested from Apple. CabbyCut only learns from Apple, on your device, whether Pro is unlocked; it never sees your name, Apple Account or payment details.
Apple
Apple may collect information when you download apps or, if you've turned on sharing with app developers in your device settings, crash reports and usage statistics. That is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Any such crash reports the developer receives from Apple are anonymous and used only to fix bugs.
Children
CabbyCut collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions? Email 33.savings-voyager@icloud.com.
Support
Found a mistake in a plan, have a question, or want a feature? Email 33.savings-voyager@icloud.com and include the cabinet type, size and front you entered so the plan can be reproduced.
How do I restore CabbyCut Pro on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open CabbyCut, tap the crown menu at the top of the first screen and choose Restore Purchases. You won't be charged again.
I bought Pro but it's still locked.
Make sure you're online and try Restore Purchases from the crown menu. If it still doesn't unlock, email me with the date of your purchase.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is there a subscription?
No. CabbyCut Pro is a single $9.99 purchase (US price). There are no subscriptions, ads or recurring charges.
What do I need?
An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later. CabbyCut is in English and Spanish, works in inches or millimeters, and works offline; it only goes online to buy or restore Pro and to sync through iCloud.
How does iCloud sync work?
With Pro, your project and prices sync automatically to every device signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for CabbyCut. The data lives in your own private iCloud, so nobody else, including me, can see it.
